Job Summary

This role will drive change and business results through strong relationship building and influencing skills as well as deep HR communications expertise. The jobholder is responsible for communication, employee engagement, and DE&I strategy and implementation across the entire business. The jobholder will oversee the design and delivery of site-specific communications and engagement activities, including employee surveys and follow-up communications. The jobholder ensures the plans developed align to the broader business unit people strategy and contributes to the success of the business in achieving its performance goals. The jobholder will lead internal communication development and execution as well as play a leading role in improving company culture.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement an internal communications plan, including annual activities/calendar, with a focus on increasing employee engagement. Work with the HR Leadership team, creating engaging and informative content that markets/”sells” various HR activities & services throughout the year.
  • Create information content that is consistent with brand messaging through a variety of communication channels both internal and external.
  • Oversee and manage content for internal and external communication platforms.
  • Write and edit materials, including organizational announcements, intranet articles, executive speeches, talking points, and company presentations.
  • Manage and coordinate the CEO semi-annual townhalls.
  • Develop editorial plans and content to support change management, employee engagement programs and cultural initiatives.
  • Modernize, and improve employee perception through use of various communication tools.
  • Serve as a communication counselor and offer guidance on best practices.
  • Lead headquarters employee engagement / activity committees as well as provide guidance to all locations throughout the organization.
  • Provide coaching and consultation to operations management regarding communication and leadership style and its impact on departmental change efforts.
  • Manage internal communication analytics including reporting, growth targets and program evaluation.
  • Foster effective and collaborative relationships across all levels of the organization.
