The Sr. Analyst will play a key role in driving strategic business initiatives by evaluating new opportunities and conducting in-depth market and competitive analyses. This role is responsible for creating detailed competitive profiles, SWOT analyses, and actionable insights to inform executive decision-making. Responsibilities include developing market assessments, tracking industry trends, and supporting strategic planning and business development activities, including bid and proposal reviews. Additionally, the Sr. Analyst will support the development of go-to-market strategies, competitive positioning, and provide regular reports and presentations to internal stakeholders.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Evaluate and manage new strategic business opportunities and initiatives,.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive competitive profiles, including strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats (SWOT analysis).
- Prepare detailed business cases, findings, and recommendations for presentation to executive management.
- Develop market analyses, monitor competitive activity, and identify customer needs.
- Prepare regular reports and presentations for internal stakeholders, providing actionable insights and recommendations.
- Assist in the development of competitive positioning strategies and contribute to product and marketing decisions based on intelligence findings.
- Support the planning, designing, due diligence, and implementing of strategic business objectives.
- Support strategic planning, go to market strategies, and organic business development.
- Support business planning activities including operating plan development, bid agenda development, opportunity gate reviews, and proposal reviews.

- Support market research, white space analysis, and competitive intelligence initiatives.
- Monitor and track industry news, developments, and regulatory changes affecting the competitive landscape.
- Work collaboratively to develop and maintain a comprehensive after-action review of bid opportunities.

Minimum Requirements

- Bachelor's degree in relevant field of study and 5+ years of relevant professional experience required, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Preferred candidates will have:

 

  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
  • Proficiency in research methodologies, data analysis tools, and competitive intelligence platforms
  • Excellent communications skills, both written and verbal, for conveying complex information to diverse audiences
  • A strong orientation to detail with a keen sense of curiosity and a passion for staying informed about industry trends.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously

Pay Transparency

Maximus compensation is based on various factors including but not limited to job location, a candidate's education, training, experience, expected quality and quantity of work, required travel (if any), external market and internal value analysis including seniority and merit systems, as well as internal pay alignment.
