Job description: Amada Senior Care of North Central New Jersey has a Part-Time / PRN / Mostly Remote position open for a Registered Nurse / Director of Nursing

This position plays an instrumental part in our senior care company. Based in Cranford, NJ, we serve clients throughout North Central NJ including the Chatham, East Hanover, Florham Park, Livingston, Morris Plains, Morristown, Summit, Springfield, and Westfield Areas.

Responsibilities include the following:

  • Coordinate the care for senior clients
  • Communicate with the owner and office staff on matters regarding clients’ care and update as needed
  • Ensure that all policies and procedures regarding client care and paperwork are enforced in compliance to the JCAHO (Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations) and NJ State homecare standards

Additional Responsibilities

  • Perform initial Client Assessment
  • Complete an initial Plan of Care
  • Develop a schedule and execute client follow-ups every 30 & 60 days
  • Perform training and orientation of new CHHAs
  • Ensure Caregivers have the proper training for the client assigned
  • Manage ongoing education for CHHAs – keeping caregiving staff up-to-date with clinical information including orientation, in-service education, and continuing education
  • Coordinate Quality Improvement activities with timely implementation of corrective action plans
  • Proactively works with Compliance Officer to ensure proper documentation
  • Assumes rotational on-call responsibilities for client care during non-office hours
  • Oversees HIPAA, PHI, and EMR compliance
  • Become proficient with Agency Operation systems including AxisCare, Microsoft Office: Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Google Chrome
  • Conduct Supervisory Field visits

Qualifications

  • Must have a valid Registered Nurse License in the State of New Jersey
  • Must have graduated from an accredited School of Nursing
  • At least 1 year of experience in acute care nursing / senior care / long-term care
  • Must have strong organizational skills
  • Must have reliable transportation
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office including Outlook, Word, and Excel
  • Must be personable, caring, and compassionate
  • Must possess strong communications skills
  • Has a proven track record of leading and managing teams
  • Must have a desire to provide outstanding employee leadership and customer care
