Arthur Ventures is looking for an Associate to join the investment team in Minneapolis to focus on B2B Software Investments. This role will play a major role in sourcing and performing diligence on potential new investments and supporting existing Arthur Ventures portfolio companies to reach their full potential. Role & Responsibilities

This individual will play a major role on a lean deal team, and associate responsibilities include:
• Speaking with executives and founders of early-stage B2B software businesses to source potential investment opportunities for Arthur Ventures
• Perform market research to identify attractive industries and verticals within the broader investment mandate
• Evaluate new investment opportunities through management of both internal and third-party due diligence workstreams
• Responsible for the creation of detailed financial models for investment underwriting
• Drafting internal investment committee memorandums and investor communications on portfolio performance
• Monitor existing portfolio company performance and offer support where needed on strategic projects

Skills and Requirements

The ideal candidate will possess a deep interest in entrepreneurship and investing while being a self-motivated team player who can succeed with minimal direct supervision. Strong analytical skills, including finance and accounting, are required. Other qualifications can be found below:
• 18+ months of experience in a leading growth equity firm, private equity firm, or investment bank
• Strong work ethic and ability to work collaboratively with a team
• Excellent verbal and written communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
• Extensive experience with financial modeling and Microsoft Excel
• Undergraduate degree with a record of academic achievement
