Labor & Employee Relations Specialist (NJUS) Id-2438

Purpose of Position

Manages, coordinates, and processes contract compliance for all bargaining employees. Supports operational performance investigations and provides guidance and clarification to the business regarding policy and contract compliance. Supports Labor Relations Specialist, Senior in administering the entire review board process to include tracking of all prior cases for historical reference and providing input on the decision making process.

The role also manages many general HR functions across the organization, including onboarding, PRIA Processing, personnel file management, unemployment requests, assist with investigations, reports, recordkeeping, and other tasks.

Tasks and Responsibilities
• Performs detailed operational performance investigations
• Supports the planning and execution of review boards as well as tracks prior cases for historical reference that provides input on the decision making process
• Partner with HR to manage contract deviations, grievance responses and disciplinary actions.
• Liaison to Legal with arbitration preparation, disciplinary matters and contract interpretation.
• General administrative functions within Bargaining groups. (Onboarding, offboarding, PRIA files, DASSP)
• Productivity database management utilizing JIRA and Excel
• Review and reconcile compensation discrepencies in regards to contractual agreements
• Perform other activites and duties as assigned.
