Responsibilities Manage and direct multimedia branch operations that include development and delivery of instructor-led, web-based, and blended training solutions for customers throughout the Defense Logistics Agency. Serve as DLA Training expert in the areas of multimedia instructional development, distributed learning methods, virtual training platforms, media selection, accessibility requirements, adult learning theories in a virtual environment. Consult with, advise, and train multimedia specialists, instructional systems designers, course managers, and instructors on all aspects of multimedia to support distributed learning, including virtual learning environments... Serve as DLA Training multimedia representative on various Agency-wide ad hoc teams that direct... CONT: and oversee the implementation of distributed learning throughout the agency. Research and evaluate the effectiveness of the use of multimedia to support virtual training, identify areas for improvement, determine overall customer satisfaction, and determine the agency’s return on investment in distributed learning technology. Ensure accessibility for all electronic training material in compliance with Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act. Coordinate with stakeholders to develop a master schedule and conduct labor planning to meet the training needs of the DLA workforce. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications To qualify for a Supervisory Multimedia Specialist, your resume and supporting documentation must support: A. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience that equipped you with the particular competencies to successfully perform the duties of the position and is directly in or related to this position. To qualify at the GS-13 level, applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 level or equivalent under other pay systems in the Federal service, military, or private sector. Applicants must meet eligibility requirements including time-in-grade (General Schedule (GS) positions only), time-after-competitive appointment, minimum qualifications, and any other regulatory requirements by the cut-off/closing date of the announcement. Creditable specialized experience includes: - Performing and/or mentoring others in virtual training facilitation, audiovisual production, website development, distributed learning support, training material development, end-of-course evaluation support, eLearning development and support, and broadcast facilities support. - Coordinating with functional experts, management, technical staff and customers on developing and improving multimedia projects in support of instructor-led, web-based, and blended training courses. - Working with film, interactive video, web/based training, and audiovisual graphics to be used for information, education, and/or training purposes Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social).
